Everything here applies to ShareApp for macOS and Windows. If the answer you need isn't below, write to us — a real person reads it.

1. Contact

Email: support@ana-yurt.dev

To help us answer on the first reply, please include: your operating system and version, the ShareApp version (shown on the app's About screen), how you bought it (Mac App Store or DMG), and what you did right before the problem appeared.

There is no ShareApp account system, so we cannot look anything up on our side — the app keeps everything on your own computer. Never send us passwords, FTP credentials, S3 access keys or OAuth tokens.

3. Frequently asked questions

Where are my captures saved?

Screenshots, video recordings and GIFs are written to the save folder configured in the app's settings. The Mac App Store version saves inside the app's own sandbox container by default (Apple's sandbox rules), the DMG and Windows versions default to a ShareApp folder in your Pictures folder. Either way you can point the app somewhere else, and the app's list of recent captures shows you where each file went.

How do I change the save folder?

Open the app's settings and pick a new folder for saved captures. Files already saved stay where they are — changing the setting only affects new captures. On the Mac App Store version, choosing a folder outside the app's container works through the standard macOS folder-picker dialog, which is what grants the app access to it.

Which storage providers are supported?

Local disk, FTP/FTPS, Dropbox, Google Drive, and Amazon S3 (including S3-compatible endpoints). Everything except local disk is off until you configure it yourself.

Where do my storage credentials go?

They stay on your device, in the app's local settings file. There is no ShareApp server, so there is nowhere for them to be sent to us. They are transmitted only to the service they belong to — your FTP host, AWS, Dropbox, Google — when you test a connection or upload a file. See the Privacy Policy for the complete list of connections the app makes.

Uploads to Dropbox or Google Drive fail — what should I check?

Reconnect the account from the app's storage settings: the provider may have expired or revoked the authorisation (you can also revoke it yourself from your Dropbox or Google account security settings, which will make uploads stop). For FTP, use the app's "test connection" button — it verifies the host, port and account, and, if you filled in a public base URL, that the uploaded file is actually reachable there.

macOS says nothing happens when I capture, or the image is blank

That is almost always the screen-recording permission:

  1. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security → Screen Recording.
  2. Make sure ShareApp is in the list and its switch is on.
  3. Quit ShareApp completely and launch it again — macOS only applies the new permission to a freshly started app.

If ShareApp is not in the list at all, trigger a capture once: macOS adds the app to the list when it first asks. If it is listed but capture still fails, switch it off and on again, then relaunch.

The microphone isn't recorded

Audio is only recorded if you enable audio capture for the recording, and macOS must have granted the microphone permission (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone). With audio capture off, the app never asks for or uses the microphone.

Is there a subscription?

No. ShareApp is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription, no recurring charge, no in-app purchase, and no account to create or maintain.

How do updates arrive?

Mac App Store copies are updated by the App Store, like any other app you got from it. DMG and Windows copies check GitHub Releases shortly after launch and offer to download a newer version if one has been published; you decide whether to install it. Mac App Store copies do not perform that check.

How do I uninstall ShareApp completely?

Three things to remove, in this order:

  1. The application itself — drag ShareApp from Applications to the Trash on macOS, or use Add or Remove Programs on Windows.
  2. The settings folder — the app's per-user application data folder, which holds the settings file (including your storage credentials and capture history).
  3. Your captures folder — the folder configured as the save location, if you don't want to keep the files.

If you only want to start over rather than uninstall, the app's settings have a reset option that clears the stored configuration.

How do I get a refund?

Nothing here limits any statutory refund or cancellation right you have as a consumer. See the Terms of Use.

Does ShareApp collect any data about me?

No. There are no accounts, no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting, and the developer runs no servers for the app. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
